Need someone to talk to? Sometimes, you simply need objective third-party advice. It could be a business issue you are not sure how to resolve. You have a business opportunity that you feel is a good one, but you are not sure and need someone to review it and give you some constructive feedback. You are at odds with your team on a business issue and you need someone to provide an objective opinion.

As your Business Advisor, Peter will ask the questions to understand the issue or challenge, explore options, help you generate your own solutions, and make sure you are accountable and executing to the agreed plan.

The reasons you choose to hire a Business Advisor can be varied but the objective is always the same: to find a SOLUTION that drives RESULTS.

Most people have heard of the old axiom “fail to plan, plan to fail”. Major lenders won’t talk to you without a business plan. If you are starting a business, you’ll need to have one if you are going to require funding. The same applies to an existing business. If you are looking towards an expansion, an acquisition and you need capital to make it happen, the first question you’ll be asked is “what’s the plan?

A business plan lays out the market you are after, your objectives, the strategies and tactics you will implement, the key performance indicators, the resources you’ll need to achieve your plan, and finally the financial plan and milestones.

Finally, a business plan gives you a reference document. How are you doing against what you set out to accomplish? Are you ahead or behind? What’s different from the assumptions you started with? If you are on plan, great! If not, what do you need to do to get back on plan?

Peter has put together business plans for multiple clients looking to plan forward or seek funding for new projects.

Over the course of the last fifteen years that Peter has worked with small-medium business (SMB) owners in Essex & Chatham-Kent counties, one common theme has been that most of them have been approached to sell their business or have looked at acquiring a competitor or a related business.

He firmly believes that SMB owners can benefit from advisory services that assist them in looking beyond the legal and accounting/financial aspects of a sale, merger, or acquisition or strategic alliance.  Other critical aspects should include thorough due diligence, synergies, strategic impact, marketing strategy, cultural fit, and post-deal integration.

For that purpose, in September 2023, he completed the IM&A International Mergers & Acquisitions professional (IM&A) certification program at the Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances (IMAA)  About Us – M&A Education in IMAA Institute (

The certification program covered the following M & A topics:

  • Essentials of M & A
  • Introduction to Due Diligence
  • Legal Due Diligence
  • IT Due Diligence
  • Financial Due Diligence
  • HR Due Diligence
  • Valuation
  • Post-Merger Integration

If you are a small-medium business (SMB) owner looking to acquire a business or sell yours, merge or form a strategic alliance with another business, Peter can provide advisory services to guide you.

If Sales are the engine of a company; Marketing Strategy is the fuel.

What are the key components of a marketing strategy?

  • Understanding Buyer Behaviour – Who’s your customer?
  • Product Mix – Do you have the right mix? What new products are in the pipeline to meet changing customer needs?
  • Distribution Channels – Is it time to explore new markets or different ways to get your product to the customer?
  • Communications Plan – You want to have a marketing plan to promote who you are, what you offer and build relationships with your customers.
  • Branding – Does your brand reflect who you are, what sets you apart and do you live up to it?
  • Pricing – Your pricing policies must reflect the incremental value you bring to your client.

Peter can guide you to fine tune your Marketing Strategy.
